About the Author:
Paul is less than 60 years old. He and his wife,
Suzanne, have been married less than 30 years.
He has had cancer less than 4 times. His daughter
and son are less than 28 years old. He lived in
San Luis Obispo, California, for less than 40
years. Paul has written poetry on paper for less
than 15 years. Paul now lives in Southern
California with his wife, Suzanne, as close to
the Pacific Ocean as possible. He is still in touch
with Anxiety's Children.
On April 6, 2004, during National Poetry Month, at Abednego Bookstore in Ventura, CA, Paul Guthrie met Christa Laririt, the featured poet that evening. Together, they published Paul's first book of poetry Reflections on Blood Games: Impact Poems from the Ricochets of Life about surfing, surviving cancer, and living until the very last step.

About the Author:
Currently residing in Eureka, CA, Christa works as a bookkeeper, practices yoga, is remodeling a Victorian four-plex and its garden, and occasionally hosts a book booth at various summer and holiday festivals.
Christa grew up on a farming ranch in Central Oregon and received a Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Education at Simmons College in Boston. While working with authors at The Glendon Association, a non-profit psychology association in Santa Barbara, CA, she created Calliope Books publishing company. She previously performed at Trinity Tribal Stomp Festival, Dancing Poetry Festival, University of California in Santa Barbara, and a benefit reading for Domestic Violence Solutions.
